WASHINGTON, D.C.—What the actual fuck is this shit? Former President Donald J. Trump has just announced his intention to run for a third non-consecutive term in 2028, completely disregarding our Constitution and flipping democracy the bird.
Listen up, you egotistical, small-handed little man! The U.S. Constitution, as interpreted by our Supreme Court (and let’s not forget that you lost your goddamn mind trying to steal the election in 2020), clearly states that no person can be elected President more than twice (U.S. Const. amend. XXII). The Twenty-Second Amendment sets a two-term limit, and you’ve already fucking served two terms – that’s more than enough, you greedy bastard.
Your bid for a third term is not only unconstitutional but also a goddamn insult to every American who cherishes our democratic norms. It’s time for you to take your tiny hands and step away from the fucking spotlight, because this isn’t about your pathetic power grab – it’s about preserving our democracy.
You might think you can pull off another shameless grab for power like you did in 2016 or try to steal the election again, but let me remind you of what I said in my dissenting opinion in Bush v. Gore (531 U.S. 98 (2000)): “the Court’s decision today…will serve only to further poison the political environment, may increase suspicion that the result of the election was preordained.” Now, you’re proving me right by trying to rig the fucking system in your favor.
But here’s the thing, Trump: your bullshit isn’t going to fly this time. We’re not falling for it anymore. Your announcement is only serving to further divide us and undermine our faith in democracy. It’s time for you to pack up your tiny hands and retire gracefully – or at least disappear into one of your golf courses.
Don’t forget, motherfucker, that you’re a convicted felon now. You’ve proven time and again that you don’t give a shit about the rule of law, but we do. And we won’t stand idly by while you threaten our democratic institutions with your endless greed for power.
